Version 1.0 · effective 24 October 2026
These terms apply to every project RC-Tools takes on. They are accepted when you send a project request or accept a quote, and each quote states the version that applies.
RC-Tools is a sole-trader business based in the United Kingdom. Email: admin@rc-tools.co.uk. Business address: [BUSINESS ADDRESS TO BE ADDED]. RC-Tools is not VAT-registered, so no VAT is added to prices, which are in pounds sterling.

When the client has paid in full, the client owns the intellectual property in the custom code RC-Tools writes specifically for that project (the “Deliverable”), and may use, modify and keep it private or publish it.
Until the final payment clears, RC-Tools keeps ownership and the client has only a limited licence to test the work. Work is delivered as source code (see Delivery).
RC-Tools keeps ownership of everything it created before the project or builds independently of it: its code libraries, helper functions, testing and reporting tools, and the free scripts published on its TradingView profile (“Background Materials”).
Where a Deliverable includes Background Materials, the client gets a perpetual, non-exclusive licence to use them as part of that Deliverable. Standard methods such as Mann-Kendall, CUSUM or Fisher transforms are public techniques that nobody owns. What the client owns is the specific logic, parameters and configuration written for them.
RC-Tools will not reuse a client's confidential strategy rules or parameters for anyone else. It may reuse general know-how and Background Materials.
RC-Tools delivers each project as source code, which the client runs in their own TradingView account.
Webhook and alert setups are delivered as code and settings the client deploys and controls. RC-Tools does not run, host or operate automated trading on a client's behalf.
The client confirms that they own, or have permission to use, any code, specifications and data they supply, and that using them does not infringe anyone else's rights.
RC-Tools will decline or stop work that involves:
If RC-Tools declines for these reasons before work starts, any deposit is refunded in full.
RC-Tools treats the client's strategy rules, parameters and any supplied code as confidential and uses them only to deliver the project. On request, RC-Tools will sign a mutual NDA before the brief is shared, at no charge.
RC-Tools will not show a client's work in its portfolio, on TradingView or on social media without written permission. The obligation does not apply to information that is already public or that the client publishes themselves.
Each project has a written scope in the quote, and the price covers that scope plus 2 rounds of revisions to it. Requests beyond the scope, such as new features, extra assets or a different strategy, are quoted separately.
For 30 days after delivery, RC-Tools fixes any defect, meaning behaviour that departs from the agreed specification, at no charge. Where the specification calls for confirmed-bar-only logic, RC-Tools tests that it behaves the same on historical and live bars.
The fix window does not cover changes caused by TradingView platform updates after delivery, edits made by the client or third parties, or new requirements. These can be quoted separately.
RC-Tools warrants that the work matches the specification. It does not warrant any trading result.
Every project starts with a fixed-price written quote that states the scope, delivery option, estimated timeline and price. Nothing is charged before the client accepts it.
Work arranged through a marketplace such as Upwork follows that platform's terms and payment system instead.
RC-Tools supplies software. It is not a regulated financial services provider, and nothing it delivers or says is investment advice or a recommendation to trade. Backtested and simulated results have inherent limits and do not predict real results. Trading carries risk of loss, and the client decides how to use any tool.
RC-Tools is not affiliated with TradingView, Inc.
RC-Tools' total liability for any claim relating to a project is limited to the fees paid for that project, and RC-Tools is not liable for trading losses or indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
This section applies only when the client is an individual buying for purposes outside their trade, business or profession (a “Consumer”). Where it conflicts with another section, this section prevails for Consumers.
